About The Doreen Clemetson Scholarship
The Girl Guides Association of Jamaica is pleased to announce the launch of the Doreen Clemetson Scholarship. This Scholarship will contribute JMD $500,000 per year over three years towards the expenses of a successful candidate’s tertiary-level studies in the field of education.
The scholarship is open to Jamaican girls and women aged 17 to 35 years who are current or former members of the Girl Guides Association of Jamaica and are resident on the island. Applications must be received by 31 March 2023, with the first Doreen Clemetson Scholarship being awarded in May 2023. Click on the APPLY button to apply.
Her Excellency the Most Honourable Lady Allen, the wife of the Governor-General of Jamaica and patron of the Girl Guides Association of Jamaica, graciously launched the scholarship at King’s House on Thursday, 22 September 2022, a week after what would have been Doreen Clemetson’s 89th Birthday.
The Girl Guides Association of Jamaica invites those who wish to honour Doreen Clemetson’s memory, increase the reach and impact of the scholarship and support the future of education in Jamaica to donate to the Doreen Clemetson Scholarship Fund. Click here to Donate.
